| Junior Dragster racing is a fast growing family friendly sport that teaches young boys and girls 8 -16 years of age the safety and respect of racing on a legal race track. Junior Dragsters are half-scale dragsters powered by 5hp designed motors that produce speeds up to 85 mph that compete on a 1/8 mile drag strip.
Children are screened for membership and must be willing to follow all the rules of the NHRA National Jr. Dragster rules. They must have the consent of their parents and they must become members of the NHRA Jr. Dragster League.
Children learn the different "systems" that make up a car and how to maintain and repair a car. We also want to instill in them that there is more to a car than just driving.
An entry level Jr. Dragster cost approximately $4,000.00 Safety equipment for each child costs an additional $250.00. Additional accessories for maintenance push the total cost to around $5,000.00, to run and maintain one Jr. Dragster.
